With pre-season now underway many of the Durham squad are spending their winter in sunnier climates playing overseas.

David Bedingham was in the runs for Western Province in the opening day of their clash with Boland at Paarl. After being reduced to 10 for two, Bedingham made a run-a-ball half-century for the hosts sharing a 94-run stand with Daniel Smith to start the recovery, with Western Province closing day one on 401/5.
Katherine Fraser starred with the bat as Scotland qualified for the women’s ICC T20 World Cup. Fraser impressed at the top of the order with scored of 41, 44 and 41 during the group stage before scoring 36 against Ireland in the Super Six stage whilst claiming eight wickets throughout the competition.
Haydon Mustard made 45 for Murdoch University Melville in the first day of their two-day game against Applecross. Batting at three, Mustard’s innings of 45 came from 81 balls and featured eight boundaries as the hosts reached 338 for nine in 80 overs.
Daniel Hogg struck a quickfire 52 for Hola Health Western Suburbs on day one of two against South Perth at the Ernest Johnson Oval.
After being put in to bat, Hogg provided the most meaningful resistance scoring 52 from 46 balls with seven fours and two maximums as the visitors were dismissed for 137. South Perth made 66 for three from 25 overs in reply.
Luke Robinson claimed four wickets in the first innings as Swan Valley enjoyed a positive opening day against North Beach Carine.
Robinson claimed two wickets in a six-over spell including bowling top-scorer Tom Naish for 44 before mopping up the tail to claim figures of 4/48 as the hosts were bowled out for 191 before Robinson’s side made 34/1.
