Durham Cricket Boys’ Junior Academy rounded off a successful tour of the United Arab Emirates by lifting the Under 16 Gulf Cup.
Durham stormed to a dominant six-wicket win over MSYTCA in the Gulf Cup Final in Ajman.
Lennon Harmison starred with three wickets while Parker Lowe and Harry Simpson shared four scalps as Cole Pearce’s side dismissed the local side for 146 with 5.1 overs of their 30 remaining.
Harry Walker then led Durham to victory as he struck an unbeaten 82 from 63 balls with six fours and five maximums as the young Ds reached their target within 24 overs.
On Durham’s route to the final, Alfie Blenkiron impressed with the bat notching a pair of half-centuries whilst George Stewart, Xavier Lockey and Lennon Harmison all made it past fifty.
Harry Simpson and Sam Hood topped the wicket charts for Durham with seven scalps each whilst Harvey Lowe and Harry Walker claimed five wickets apiece.
