Durham well represented at ECB Super4s with 5 players selected

Durham Cricket are thrilled to confirm that 5 boys’ academy cricketers have been selected to represent the North of England at the ECB Super4s, along with two members of staff.

The annual tournament, held at Loughborough University sees talented Under 18-year olds from across the country compete in a regional tournament in both 50 over and T20 cricket, with the North going up against the Midlands, South & West and London & East across five days.

Will Alexander, Luke Symington, Faizan Ghumman, Robbie Bowman and Charlie Harmison have been selected for the North region.

The 5 Academy players are all selected on the back of strong seasons with Durham and in their club sides.

Performance Pathway Coach James Lowe will lead the North side as Head Coach, while Women’s Lead Analyst James Key will work as a Performance Analyst throughout the week.

John Windows, Men’s Academy Director said: “It is fabulous news for Durham to have five players selected to represent the North Region and testament to the amazing work which goes on across our cricket clubs to help develop talent.

The lads have excelled at their age groups and this recognition is for their performances and all the hard work they have put in.

I am sure they will have a great tournament and hopefully follow in the footsteps of recent seasons and win the tournament.

The North is the leading region in the competition and I wish them all the best for the 2025 edition of Super4s.”
