Chester-le-Street, UK – The Festival of Fireworks is back and set to light up the skies over Banks Homes Riverside on Saturday 1st November 2025 in collaboration with Chester-le-Street CC– and tickets are on sale now.
Following a huge success last year with over 6,500 attendees, our beloved community tradition returns at Durham Cricket, with more entertainment, more excitement and more unforgettable moments for all ages.
This isn’t just a fireworks display, it’s a full evening experience. Expect a thrilling funfair, a buzzing food village, live performers, and entertainment for kids big and small. The event culminates in a spectacular fireworks display that has become a highlight of the Chester-le-Street calendar for over three decades.
Gates open at 4:30pm, with the main show set to start at 7:30pm.
Rob Warren of Durham Cricket shared: “We are looking forward to hosting Festival of Fireworks again this year. Last year was a huge success, and we’ve taken the decision to make this event even bigger and better. With a fantastic marketing strategy and our new partnership with Hits Radio, we’re expecting to welcome even more guests.”

- Premium ticket option: Guests can upgrade to the Castle View Suite for access to an indoor bar and indoor toilets. Premium tickets are available for £15 by calling the hospitality team on 0191 387 2815.
- Member access: Durham Cricket and Chester-le-Street CC members have access to the Geoff Cook Suite with proof of membership and a general admission ticket.
- Accessibility: The grounds are fully accessible. You can access disabled viewing areas that are wheelchair accessible with a valid blue badge, stewards will direct you on arrival.
- Weather policy: The event will go ahead as planned unless severe wind conditions occur, thanks to the hard-standing event space.
