Brydon Carse added to England’s World Cup squad

Brydon Carse has been called into the ICC Men’s World Cup squad for the remainder of the tournament as a replacement for Reece Topley.

Carse will fly out to India on Tuesday and is most likely to be available for England’s game against India on Sunday.

Topley had been ruled out of the rest of the World Cup after fracturing his left index finger during England’s defeat to South Africa on Saturday.

Carse who featured in England’s white ball series against New Zealand and Ireland during the summer has made 15 appearances for his national side.
