County XIs of the past 100 years: A special club-by-club vote to mark The Cricketer’s centenary

The Cricketer asks fans to pick Durham’s Championship team of the past 100 years to celebrate our centenary

This year, The Cricketer is celebrating its 100th birthday, and we want the help of Durham fans in commemorating the moment.

We are running public votes to find each county’s County Championship team of the past century – from 1921 until the present day.

In the April issue of the magazine, our expert writers select their XIs, and now it’s the turn of the men and women who keep each county so close to their hearts.

So, how does it work?

We’ve nominated a shortlist of batsmen, bowlers, wicketkeepers and allrounders, all the fans have to do is choose their favourites (they can also suggest players who have not made the initial cut) in our county-by-county polls.

Supporters can select two overseas players in their XIs, while we’ve provided all the Championship stats for our shortlisted stars in the 100 years between 1921 and 2021 as reference for any close decisions. The players with the most votes will make the final XI, with all 18 being listed in The Cricketer magazine later in the summer.

Fans can vote for their county’s team by clicking on the relevant link below.
