Salisbury’s six demolishes MCCYCs

A six-wicket haul by Matt Salisbury handed the Seconds a convincing 158 run victory over MCC Young Cricketers in the Second XI Trophy on Tuesday.

Salisbury, a right-arm quick previously at Essex, ripped through the hosts’ batting line-up after they were set 243 to win.

All of his wickets came in the opening spell, reducing the Young Cricketers to 25/6 in the eighth over.

Matthew Potts continued his return to bowling with 2/7 in five overs while there was also wickets for Gareth Harte & Alasdair Evans.

All-rounder Liam Trevaskis top-scored at the top of the innings with 63, with a plethora of twenties helping the score up to 242/8.
