Durham CCC team news v Sussex

Durham CCC take on Sussex CCC in their first home LV= County Championship of the season and Head Coach Geoff Cook has named a twelve man squad for the fixture.

With Phil Mustard absent, Dale Benkenstein will continue covering the captaincy role and Michael Richardson maintains his place behind the stumps.  With Liam Plunkett injured (quad muscle) and Graham Onions rested as part of his rehabilitation from his long term back injury, Mitchell Claydon and Ruel Brathwaite are set to join Callum Thorp as the second and third seamers.

Durham CCC is delighted to welcome the brass section of the National Youth Orchestra to Emirates Durham ICG on Wednesday 20 April , with the musicians set to play a fifteen minute set during the lunch break of before providing a fanfare for the players return to the field for the afternoon session.
