Coaching Workshops

We run various coaching workshops throughout the year with the aim to continuously upskill and support coaches in our county.

Each workshops is only two hours and focuses on a separate skill/ topic.

Our workshops are open to both qualified and non-qualified coaches.

Wednesday 7^th October – Coaching Young Spin Bowlers – (Steve Chapman)
- The session will integrate: Observation & Feedback, Technical refinement, Practical Drills, Tactical and Mental Development.
- The aim of the session is to build confident, adaptable spin bowlers who understand both their craft and their role within the game.

Wednesday 14^th October – Coaching Young Fast Bowlers – (Will Gidman, Durham Academy Director)
- A live demonstration of working with a young fast bowler
- Taking a Video
- Analysing the video in real time with the player
- Recommended work and some drills around that
- Conversation about ECB Fast Bowling Directive
- Open questions about coaching young cricketers
