Neil Killeen

A one club-man during his playing days, Neil Killeen served as Second XI coach for a number of years before taking on the role of Assistant Lead & Bowling Coach at the start of the 2019 season.

Killeen spent over 15 years as a player with Durham, making over 350 appearances, before moving into coaching upon his retirement. As well as coaching at Emirates Riverside, “Killer” has also coached England Under 19s and was part of the England ODI coaching squad during the summer of 2020.

The seconds won the Championship in both 2016 and 2018, in which Killer was in charge, playing a key role in the development of the player, preparing them for first eleven cricket.

Killeen oversees the progress of bowlers across the whole club and assists James Franklin with the First XI.
