Cameron Steel

Cameron Steel will be hoping to push on with the bat in 2021, as he looks to cement a place at the top of the Durham batting line up for the 2021 season.

Steel holds the record for being the youngest double centurion for Durham with his knock of 224 at Leicestershire – the fifth highest score in the club’s history.

A disappointing season by Steel’s standards will hopefully be quickly forgotten about and a return to the form he showcased in 2017 will be in the offing.

Previously a captain of Durham’s MCCU side, Steel trialed for the Second XI at the back end of the 2016 season and scored 95 in the Second XI Championship final against Middlesex.

A more than useful part-time leg-spinner, Cam was in the action last summer and occasionally turned his arm over for Durham.

Born in America, Steel’s cricketing education was a broad one which included spells at Somerset, Middlesex and Western Australia.
