On his inclusion in the England EPP, Ben Stokes said, “I’m really pleased to continue my involvement with the England set up, especially after my time with the U19’s, which was fantastic. It’ll be really exciting to be over in Australia with the EPP, it was a bit of a setback getting injured towards the end of the season so I can’t wait to get back into the swing of things. It’ll be a great opportunity to work alongside some quality players who have had experience in the international scene and for me to pick up some tips on how to keep improving my game.
“It’s great that Liam Plunkett is going to be there too as it’ll help me settle in quickly. It’s good to have guys that you already know with you as it makes the initial part of the trip much easier.
“This time last year I’d never have imagined that I would have played so much first class cricket for Durham this season and to be included in this England programme is a great way to end 2010.”
