North East Produce Impresses International Press

For afternoon tea the journalists were treated to some of the finest cheese, baking and ice cream from the North East of England.

Moody Baker treated the press to some home baked spicy treats from their new store in Barnard Castle.

Archers Jersey Ice cream delivered the journalists all a delicate portion of hand made ice cream, with flavours including Hokey Pokey, Chocolate, Strawberry and Cinnamon.

The ice-cream is made daily on the farm in County Durham, using the milk from Archer’s own pedigree Jersey herd.

The Durham Cow Cheese Company are a small company in County Durham producing high quality cheese from local Durham produce. In 2009 the Durham Cow Cheese company was the Winner of the Tesco Cheese Challenge “blue cheese category”.

The Northumberland Cheese Company, winner of the World Jersey Cheese awards for its beautiful Kielder Cheese is based in Blagdon Northumberland. They will deliver anywhere overnight and include a wide range of quality cheeses including cows’ cheese, goats’ cheese and sheep cheese.
