We know that England fans want to attend international matches next summer but the uncertainty of the Covid-19 pandemic means you may need to consider more options before you book your tickets in advance.
That is why we have created a ticket buying process that will allow you to purchase a place for next summer’s Men’s Internationals with the confidence that you will be entitled to a refund if spectators cannot be admitted or the date of the match changes and you are unable to attend.
Once you purchase a ticket for next summer, you will also be updated on any changing circumstances, the health and safety measures in place and the options available to you. We know you need this reassurance and we will provide it.
The health and safety of supporters remains our first priority and the ECB will continue to be at the forefront of work with Government and other sports over the winter to understand how we can safely welcome cricket fans back next summer.
How does the ticket purchase process work for England Men 2021 Internationals?
Review the fixtures to find where you can see England Men in action next summer and then purchase tickets for your preferred match day via the host venue’s ticket ballot, priority window or general sale. Please note that the ticket is purchased on the basis of known teams, format, venue and a provisional date.
The date of the match may change. If that occurs, the new date will be communicated to you by your host venue and you will be given two weeks in which to request a refund should you no longer wish to attend. Your host venue will contact you to outline the process for submitting your refund request. If your contact details change then you must inform your host venue or you may miss your opportunity to claim a refund.
If you wish to attend the new fixture date, you do not have to do anything – your ticket for next summer is secured.
On the day of the match, if play is restricted, does not take place or spectators are not admitted, you will be entitled to claim a refund for some, or all, of the face value of the ticket, as per the terms and conditions of the ECB Refund Scheme
What plans do you have in place if social distancing is required and venue capacity has to be reduced?
The ECB will continue to work with Government and other sports over the winter to understand how we can safely welcome cricket fans back next summer. If there is a requirement for social distancing and a reduction in stadium capacity, host venues will contact ticket purchasers to advise on next steps and any contingency measures involved.
How are you going to ensure the health and safety of Supporters, both in the ground and travelling to and from the venue?
The health and wellbeing of everyone involved is our number one priority. The ECB will continue to work closely with government, other sports governing bodies and across industry to plan and deliver the safe return of spectators to live cricket.
Host venues will contact ticket holders to advise them of any health and safety measures that may be in place. These measures may include, but may not be limited to, the following:
- Spectator Code of Conduct – a commitment from all match day attendees to adhere to any safety measures outlined and NOT to attend if they or any members of their household or ‘bubble’ are displaying symptoms of Covid-19 or have been asked to self-isolate
- Test & Trace – the host venue may request contact details for all attendees, in line with government guidance
- Hygiene and Cleaning – host venues will work with match day delivery partners to ensure hygiene measures are enhanced on site in all spectator areas
- Managed Entry/Exit/Circulation – Arrival, departure and spectator circulation will be carefully planned and may be staggered. To support this, venues may recommend travel options to and from the venue that are different from those which supporters have previously experienced. Spectators can expect to see both increased signage and instructions to ensure the safety of all attendees, in line with government guidance
Wherever possible, supporters are encouraged to make use of the host venue’s digital channels both to purchase tickets and to plan your matchday experience in advance.
