Chris Rushworth captained the Durham side, winning the toss and electing to bat first. Karl Turner, Ben Harmison and Gareth Breese each posted scores in the sixties with the latter remaining unbeaten as Durham ended their fifty overs 242-4.
Bowling honours were shared between Mark Wood, Gareth Breese, Scott Borthwick and Mark Davies, with each of them taking two wickets. Durham UCCE were all out for 198 with seven balls remaining of their innings and 44 runs short of Durham’s total.
